Physical Signs Worth Knowing

Beyond behavior, the body itself can offer clues. These physical signals are worth checking for during regular at-home observation:

  • Altered breathing: Faster, shallower, or labored breathing at rest — without exercise or heat as a cause — can indicate pain, especially in the chest or abdomen.
